Message From The Chair
As we move forward to 2008, we are pleased to provide our Annual Report, a summary of our activities over this last year.
As you read the report, you will notice that our efforts continue with respect to downtown housing projects, hostels and redevelopment schemes in our mandated area. Of significance is the fact that we have completed a monetization of a portion of our assets, ensuring that we have the capital base to continue our efforts in these directions.
I would like, on behalf of the Board of Directors, to express our sincere thanks to the countless individuals and organizations whose efforts helped us move forward with our plans. Of special note, a thank you to our shareholders; the Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Justice, the Honourable Steve Ashton, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, and His Worship Mayor Sam Katz and another thank you to our sister organizations, CentreVenture and Downtown Biz.
Finally, on behalf of the entire Board, I would like to thank our senior management team lead by Jim August and all the support staff for their efforts, diligence and commitment. Our success in the end, is because of you.
