Arctic Glacier Winter Park

Arctic Glacier Winter Park is now closed. Thanks for a great season!

Skating Trail and Park Conditions

Amenities

The Plaza Skating Rink is artificially cooled, allowing the skating surface to stay frozen earlier in the winter and remain later into the spring. The canopy above the ice surface is beautifully lit and animated with music.

Skate Rentals are available at the Mini Donuts Factory located adjacent to the skate changing area in The Forks Market Atrium. Rates are $2.00 for children and $4.00 for adults. Call 257-0288 or 253-7600 for group bookings.

The Snowboard Fun Park features a variety of rails, table tops, jumps and fun-boxes. Drop in ramps are located in the skateboard park.

Scotiabank Skating Rink is located adjacent to the Scotiabank Stage and is available for leisure skating and pick-up hockey games. The rink is maintained daily with a Zamboni for excellent ice conditions. Hockey nets and warm-up shacks are provided.

The Toboggan Chute runs off a small tower in Festival Park between the Scotiabank Stage and the Snowboard Fun Park.

1.2 km of Skating Trails connect the largest portion of Arctic Glacier Winter Park to The Plaza and Market areas and meander through The Forks site. All trails, rinks and the river are connected to the Plaza with rubber mats. Warming huts and many benches are strategically placed along the trail.

Festive Lights enhance Arctic Glacier Winter Park by keeping the entire site colourfully lit and providing a warm, beautiful glow.

Warming Firepots are provided on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings beginning in late December.

Great-West Life Ice Castle is located in the roundabout beside the Inn at the Forks and created by Krystal Dreams Ice Sculptures.

Ice Obstacle Course is located in the Market Plaza. Kids can climb, shuffle and shimmy their way through this new cool feature.

Ice Picture Frame is located next to the ice obstacle course. Stand behind the ice scene, insert your face in the cut out and have someone take your picture.
