Use of Abbreviations and Resource Categories
The abbreviations in parentheses at the end of each entry indicate where the resource can be found. In the particular case of Parks Canada, the abbreviation may be preceded by “on file”(“on file at PC”), indicating that the resource is only in electronic format internally at Parks Canada.
The resource type is listed at the end of each entry, before the resource location. If the resource is other than an article or section of a larger work, the total number of pages is listed in parentheses directly after resource type (#pp.).
Location of Collections
Artifact collections relating to The Forks National Historic Site of Canada and the Upper Fort Garry gateway are housed at Parks Canada, Western and Northern Service Centre. Collections relating to The Forks proper, Bonnycastle Park, Main Street and most adjacent properties are at the Manitoba Museum. Any remaining collections are with the Historic Resources Branch, Winnipeg.
