    Red River College Graphic Design students create original works of art in just over 24 hours. Pieces can be crafted in any medium they choose: oil, pencil, watercolour etc. Original artwork will be auctioned off Sunday afternoon with Winnipeg Harvest and Red River College Graphic Design Students' Graduation Fund sharing in the proceeds.

    A fun skate or walk down the Riverwalk to 'stride away the winter blues'.   • 14th Annual Ice Bike Race

    11:30am-2:30pm | Red River Mutual Trail
    Hosted by Woodcock Cycle, this annual event is open to everyone and regularly sees well over 150 participants of all types from your elite racer, to someone who has never ridden a bike in the winter before, and even unicyclists. There are also 3 categories of kids races for all ages! This closed course features everything a winter cyclist might come across in Winnipeg, be it snow, ice, gravel, pavement, or the ever elusive abominable yeti.

    Come and try your speed on the Red River Mutual Trail. The Manitoba Speed Skating Association is hosting a fun Race the Red competition beginning at 10am until Noon. Challenge your friends and family to a 100 meter race.     An event full of acrobatic & circus performers, cocktails, food, prizes, music and entertainment all night long to raise money for C.A.M.P., the Circus and Magic Partnership. C.A.M.P. puts on circus camps for Winnipeg and Northern at-risk youth. At C.A.M.P. kids learn magic, acrobatics, aerial and more.     There are currently around 35 racers in 10 different classes for boys and girls age 4-14 with speeds ranging from 8 mph to 40 mph. The race takes place on an ice oval, using everything from kitty cats to yard sleds to full mod custom built race sleds. The series is sponsored by Inferno Race Clutches. MMSRA follows ISR rules, with the main goal to go outside for safe and fun family time.   • Winnipeg Jets Outdoor Practice

    The Winnipeg Jets will host an outdoor practice in The Port, on the Red River Mutual Trail from 1:30pm - 2:30pm. Practice is FREE and open to the public. The Jets along with the full coaching staff will skate for approximately one hour as they prepare for the final stretch of the regular season.

    PLEASE NOTE:

    • The Red River Mutual Trail will be CLOSED off in The Port at 1pm on February 23 to prepare for the Jets practice. If you plan on skating over, be prepared to exit the trail from another access point other than The Forks Port.
    • Parking at The Forks can be tricky during major events like this. We recommend parking downtown and making your way in on foot.
    • Looking for the best place to see the Winnipeg Jets practice? Check out the attached map to see just where to watch. The blue area indicates the best spot for viewing, the red area indicates no public access.
