We (Lisa and Sean) are the husband and wife duo behind dconstruct. We create jewelry and lifestyle products inspired by our lifelong love of modern architecture and design. We’ve been creating minimalist concrete and eco-resin jewelry for nearly ten years now right here in Winnipeg.
We knew, when The Forks Market was created nearly 30 years ago, that something truly special had arrived in Winnipeg. Despite spending a ton of time at The Forks each year, we never could have anticipated that our lives would lead us to become makers and business owners, eventually opening up our very own store in this historic space!
Our focus is on creating unique pieces of modern jewelry and household goods out of unexpected but beautiful materials. We also stock goods by our very favourite makers that share our design philosophy.
The decision to open up our new store in the Market was a no-brainer. We have always loved incredible architecture, particularly that which salvages the old and mixes it with the new. As makers, the chance to work directly within a space that inspires us so much is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We can’t wait to start our new chapter at The Forks Market and hope to see new and old faces!
