Skateboard Lessons
Starting July 5th until August 26th The Winnipeg Skateboarding Outreach Organization, in conjunction with Sk8 Skates, will be hosting free skateboard lessons for beginners at the Plaza at the Forks Skatepark. The lessons will run Wednesday - Sunday from 11:30 AM - 2 PM. It is mandatory that participants bring a helmet, but skateboards are available for use.
Each participant (or their legal guardian if under the age of 18) will be required to sign a waiver at the Plaza at The Forks Skatepark between 11 AM – 11:30 AM, and then they will be teamed up with their instructor. If you already have a waiver filled out from a previous session, you are still required to go to sign in at the skatepark between 11:00 - 11:30 AM. Space is limited and is first-come, first-serve. If you, or somebody you know is interested in taking up skateboarding, this is a perfect opportunity to see if it is right for you!

Potluck pARTy
The Youth Agencies Alliance Collaborative Art Show, potluck pARTy, focuses on world-building, promoting cultural awareness, and increasing the sense of connection to where and how food is produced. Through highlighting the social aspect of food and bringing youth together to ‘share their favorite meal’, youth replicated their favorite foods using fabric, felt, paper, molding clay, along with plates and cutlery. This is arranged on colorful tablecloths to display the creations along with their write-ups, demonstrating why they selected the items they did, and how this food has significance in their lives.
Public art viewing is located in the 201 Space on the second floor of The Forks Market.
