Learn to Winter

Discover the joy of winter with our exciting Learn to Winter programming, starting Saturday, January 6, 2024, and running every weekend until the end of February, 2024.

Join us in celebrating our proud winter city, with these free activities:

• Skate, Ski, Snowshoe Lessons with Winnipeg Trails Asssociation| Saturdays and Sundays, 12 PM – 4 PM
  • Skiing – 12 PM and 2 PM
  • Skating – 1 PM and 3 PM
  • Snowshoeing – 2 PM
    
    These lessons are offered on a drop-in basis. Guests are invited to bring their own equipment. Skate rentals are available at Icelands Skate Rentals, in The Forks Market. Ski and snowshoe rentals can be arranged with the Winnipeg Trails Association.

• Storytelling in the Teepee | Sundays from 12 PM - 4 PM
  • Join Elder Barbara Nepinak around the fire in the teepee for stories and drumming.
    
    
•  Warming Hut Tours | Free walking tours of Warming Huts are taking place on Saturdays, beginning at 1PM. Guests are aksed to register here for their free ticket as space is limited to ensure the best experience!

All of the Learn To Winter activities are free and open to the public.
