Full Moon Ceremony
The Full Moon Ceremony is a collaboration between Sunshine House, Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Inc MMIWG Liaison Unit (MKO), The Link, Manitoba Moon Voices (MMVI), Women’s Health Clinic (WHC), Inaadiziwin, Native Clan Organization, Inc. (NCO), Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities and Medicine Bear, Ka Ni Kanichihk. This Ceremony is open to the community at large; all genders and cultures are invited to join together for teachings about feminine energy’s relationship with Grandmother Moon. Anyone who identifies with feminine energy is invited to participate in the Ceremony. Those who identify with masculine energy are invited to attend, but will observe. If you can, we ask relatives to bring your own chair, rattles and/or drums, as well as a water container to fill and take home after the Ceremony (if you wish).

Ukrainian Vyshyvanka Boulevard
On May 11, at The Forks, join the Ukrainian community dedicated to Vyshyvanka Day, which is celebrated annually and is a significant holiday for Ukrainians.
Paint the sidewalk next to Inn at The Forks with chalk in the style of Ukrainian Vyshyvanka, and enjoy music, sweets, and souvenirs.

Mom's Special Day
To celebrate mothers on their special day, the Manitoba Children’s Museum is offering moms half-price admission all day long on Sunday, May 11, 2025! During your visit, be sure to stop by our Craft Station between 11:00AM – 3:00PM to create a Pressed Flower Suncatcher together with your mom.
