The Forks, Winnipeg – The Forks is preparing for one gigantic party that will officially kick off 2012.
“We’re kicking off the new year as we always do, with a party and fireworks,” says Paul Jordan, Chief Operating Officer, The Forks. “Two-time world champions Archangel is putting on a spectacular show following a party in the port.”
Family friendly activities this year include: horse drawn wagon rides, kids crafting and a gigantic party in the port leading to fireworks.
Families are what it’s all about for title sponsor Scotiabank who have led the party for over a decade.
