Eat Pasta – Help Feed the Hungry
The Forks Market, Winnipeg – The Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC) is hosting a country wide pasta party this Saturday. The Winnipeg Chapter of CCFCC wants you to slurp some of the spaghetti and raise funds for both Winnipeg Harvest and the junior chef’s program of CCFCC.
“Nineteen cities are participating in this one day event, says Ron Dobrinsky, President of the Winnipeg Chapter of the Canadian Culinary Federation. “We will literally serve hundreds of plates of pasta to raise awareness of our organization, leave a legacy for our younger generation and give back to our communities.”
For only $5 pasta lovers will enjoy a delicious plate of spaghetti with the choice of meat or vegetarian sauce and a bread stick.
The event is being held this Saturday from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm in The Forks Market’s Centre Court. It comes to The Market courtesy of long time tenant Mo Razik, who has been active with the culinary organization and a major sponsor for 27 years.
“It is just natural to bring this event to The Forks Market,” says Razik, Owner of Fenton’s Group of Companies. “We are a big community here and one where Winnipeggers gather. We know too that we are a very generous city so we hope to fill the bellies of others while we fill our own.”
