The Forks Post 1870: Storyline

This report is a final draft of a storyline that was proposed for use in the development of interpretive displays for The Forks National Historic Site. The storyline begins with a brief introduction to the political/developmental history of The Forks area. Sections follow this on Winnipeg and the Junction: a Metropolis in the Making (1870-1886); The Junction and the Railway Era (1886-1923); and The Junction and the Immigrant Experience.
