Birch Box | Clay Creatures Workshop – SOLD OUT
NOTE: This event is sold out.
Meg from Meg Does Pottery is very well known for her “spacecats” and alpacas in her pottery repertoire.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to sculpt a little animal/s of your choice. This is a hand building / sculptural workshop where you will be responsible for creating your own piece.
(Meg will not be teaching you how to replicate her own style of pieces)
Students will be provided with a base amount of clay and there will be tools available to use for that evening. Smaller pieces are strongly encouraged and pieces without delicate appendages ( long legs or small delicate attributes) are not recommended as transporting your creations will prove very difficult.
Meg will fire your pieces in her studio kiln - and your pieces will be glazed by her in a selection of glazes that she provides - your piece will be glazed in a singular color.
What else you need to know:
All the tools will be provided for the workshop.
You will receive your pieces back in 2-3 weeks and will be available for pick up in Wolseley.
Please note that you will get a little messy during the class and shorter fingernails are strongly recommended.
Participants must be 16 years or older.
TICKETS: $75 available at https://birchboxprojects.org/workshops/clay-creatures
This year, we are donating the majority profits of this to IRCOM (Immigrant Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba) to enable them to bring music into their childcare program.
