Rainwater Capture Treaty Relation Building
At one time, there were five decorative water fountains in the Canopy Plaza area of The Forks. When the underground line servicing these fountains collapsed, we made the decision to decommission the fountains.
This created an opportunity to repurpose the reservoir that the fountains used to capture rainwater and snowmelt from the roof of the Agowiidiwinan Centre (Treaty Relations building) instead. This water is now being used to flush the toilets in the building.
