Heritage Resource Monitoring: South Point Sculpture and Footpath

This report details the monitoring of potential impact to heritage resources (artifacts) during the re-grading of the existing footpath in Niizhoziibean (South Point Park) and the installation of a sculpture. A total of 474 heritage resources were recovered during the archaeological monitoring, including a large amount of late historic ceramics and several faunal (bone) materials which is possibly associated with an early 1900s home. Artifacts associated with the Arctic Ice Warehouse were also recovered. The site was registered and received the Borden designation DlLg-110. Appendices include artifact catalogue.
