"Totem Doodem Murals" by Jordan Stranger

"Totem Doodem Murals" by Jordan Stranger

Totem Doodem was created in 2018 with the intention of spreading the positivity and colour of past and current Canadian Indigenous culture.

It all started when Jordan would leave acrylic paintings on paper around the Winnipeg area that he would wheat-paste onto walls. Totem Doodem was his small effort to help keep it relevant in modern society.

Jordan was asked by the Manitoba 150 in partnership with The Forks and Synonym Art Consultation to create four additional murals that spoke to the theme of "Manitoba 150." He wanted to create murals that each told a story. The new murals are titled, Elk Crossing the Water, Together, Respect, and Love Grows.

Year: 2018 and 2019

Medium: Paint
