Culture Days | Drumming and Dancing to the Beat

Join us in an Indigenous drumming circle with Metis cultural teacher Val Vint, who has been offering drumming and singing circles around Manitoba for 30+ years. Drumming circles are a joyous and gentle pathway to community development and harmony, and are an experiential way to share Indigenous teachings. Drums, shakers and other instruments will be provided.

Located at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine rivers, The Forks (also known as Nestawaya in Cree) has been a meeting place for over 6,000 years – located on the original lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Lakota peoples and resides in the homeland of the Red River Métis.
