Red Dress Day

The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs First Nations Family Advocate Office invites families, survivors, leadership, and community members to gather in honour of the victims and survivors of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S+). Following a march from the Legislative grounds, the gathering will take place at the Forks Oodena Circle. Families, survivors, and leadership will be invited to share their voices, stories, and calls for justice. Join us in a moment of remembrance, strength, and unity as we honour the lives taken, support the survivors, and stand together for change.

In this spirit, all staff and administration here respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
