Red Dress Day
May 5th, also known as National Red Dress Day, is a day set aside to raise awareness for MMIWG2S+. As well to honor the Victime, Families and survivors of Gender base Violence directed to Women, and in particular to Indigenous Women. Women are Sacred life givers and need to be kept safe. We will host a gathering at Oodena Circle for 6 p.m. which will contain speeches from the Women and Families involved, followed by a Prayer walk in remembrance of those that are no longer with us and for those who bravely, and fiercely fought to stay alive.
