Coffee Confidential: Tales and tastings from behind the bar

For 300 years, people made coffee in largely the same way: Soak ground coffee in water. But today, food scientists, baristas, and coffee lovers have been experimenting with all kinds of new delicious, ways of manipulating one of the world’s favourite beverages.

Join Fools & Horses barista Patrick McCormick as he explores the rapidly-changing world of coffee. Curious about the difference between a French press and a Chemex? He’ll help you discover the lingo of the industry. Want to know why not all grinds or water temperatures are created equal? He'll show you the parameters that will give you the best taste possible for your drink. Along the way, he’ll also share stories about what it’s like slinging ‘spro for a living. Whether you aspire to work in the industry or just want to know how to impress your friends the next time they come over for coffee, this is the workshop for you!
