Fit 4 Two Stroller Fitness

Fit 4 Two Stoller Fitness is a baby-friendly, full-body workout. Each class includes intervals of cardio drills, functional strength training and short power walks, followed by postnatal-specific core work and flexibility. All fitness levels are welcome. You do not need a jogging stroller but will need to bring a yoga mat.

Vision Zero is a strategy to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, while increasing safe, healthy equitable mobility for all. Vision Zero is quickly gaining momentum in North America after being implemented in Sweden in the 1990s and garnering success across Europe.

About Ian Thomas

Ian Thomas is the State and Local Program Director with America Walks. In this role, he develops and delivers education programs for advocates, professionals, and elected officials, about the benefits of walkable communities and strategies to create them.

From 2000 until 2013, Ian served as the founding Executive Director of the PedNet Coalition of Columbia, MO.  During this time, he developed one of the largest Walking School Bus programs in the country, coordinated a campaign that led to Columbia adopting the first “complete streets’ policy in Missouri, and was instrumental in reducing neighborhood speed limits.

In 2013 and again in 2016 and 2019, Ian won election to the Columbia City Council, where he continues to advance healthy and walkable community policies.  He is a member of Smart Growth America’s Local Leaders Council and the National League of Cities’ Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Tactical Traffic Calming - A MasterClass with Jen Malzer

A hands-on primer in tactical urbanism: what it is and how you can approach it. Jen Malzer, joined by Rebecca Peterniak, will lead you in an experiment in tactical urbanism using Winnipeg as your canvas. Jen Malzer is a very special transportation engineer in the City of Calgary's liveable cities division, currently re-imagining Calgary's traffic calming program and implementing new principles around shared decision-making and tactical urbanism.

Bored with your wardrobe? Get rid of old clothes while stocking up on some new fashions! Never been to a clothing swap before? Now is your chance!

Step 1: Purge your closets of clothing that no longer fits or that your heart no longer adores.

Step 2: Bring clothing along (women's, men's, girl's) and a girlfriend or two.                   

Step 3: Be prepared to have fun as you grab as much clothing to take home as you wish!

Bring as much as you want. Take as much as you want! One person's garbage is another person's treasure. You have a few weeks to go through your closets, drawers and Tupperware bins.
