The lights will be low, and the music will be loud. Our coaches will motivate you in a group environment that will make you work like you never thought possible.

Join us for November Project Winnipeg’s premiere event, the 4th annual Great Skate:
What: 6km race on skates on the Red River Mutual Trail
Cost: FREE no need to pre-register #justshowup
Who: anyone and everyone, fast or slow you are welcome
*you are welcome to race with a dog on a leash or on speed skates, but if do so you are not eligible for the top finisher prizes*
Stick around afterwards at The Forks Market for food and drinks near The Common. We will be awarding top finisher and random draw prizes provided by The North Face. This event will run NO MATTER the weather, so bundle up if it’s cold!

You will learn to skate + improve your skate skills:
- How to balance + stride with confidence
- How to stop (snow plow + hockey stop)
- How to turn
- How to skate backwards
- How to do cross cuts
New skaters, haven't skated in 20 years skaters, and those wanting to improve current skate skills are welcome!
Lessons will be led by a certified instructor.
We meet in the Tower Atrium (skate change area) at 7pm.
Skate rentals are available at Iceland Skate Rentals - $6

This year, The Forks hosts the Second Annual International Crokicurl Tournaspiel. Teams of 2-4 players can register for a weekend of fun as they battle it out for the Crokicurl Cup and be crowned 2019's Crokicurl Champions.

Big Bike Chill: Jack Frost Challenge Try It Out Day
To wrap-up the eighth annual Jack Frost Challenge, Green Action Centre presents Try it Out Day! Green Action Centre's sustainable transportation team will be set up on the river from 1-4 pm to provide visitors with the opportunities to try out fat bikes, snowshoes and other winter sporting equipment for free. Hot chocolate, educational resources, and enthusiasm for winter activities will be provided! The equipment is generously provided by Wilderness Supply Co. and White Pine Bicycle Co.

Konex Cable Tubing is a linear cable system consisting of two towers with an overhead cable that pulls tubes/riders back and forth along a snow track for a continuous 5-minute ride.

Skate Tips at The Forks
Have you avoided the #RRMTrail this year because you think your skate skills aren't up to snuff? February is your lucky month - we are offering skating lessons every Tuesday evening from 7-8pm. All levels and abilities welcome.
You will learn to skate + improve your skate skills:
- How to balance + stride with confidence
- How to stop (snow plow + hockey stop)
- How to turn
- How to skate backwards
- How to do cross cuts
New skaters, haven't skated in 20 years skaters, and those wanting to improve current skate skills are welcome!
Lessons will be led by a certified instructor.
We meet in the Tower Atrium (skate change area) at 7pm.
Skate rentals are available at Iceland Skate Rentals - $6

Fit 4 Two Indoor Stroller Fitness
Fit 4 Two Indoor Stroller Fitness is a baby-friendly, full body workout. Each class includes intervals of cardio drills, functional strength training and short power walks followed by postnatal-specific core work and flexibility. All fitness levels are welcome. You do not need a jogging stroller. Bring a yoga mat and an exercise band.

Arctic Snow Tube Park at Parks Canada Place
Konex Cable Tubing is a linear cable system consisting of two towers with an overhead cable that pulls tubes/riders back and forth along a snow track for a continuous 5-minute ride.
Hours:
Thursday + Friday: 5 - 9 PM
Saturday + Sunday: 12 - 9 PM
$5 per ride.
Dogs ride for free with their owners.
Hot chocolate for purchase, free marshmallow roasting.
Open till the snow melts!
