Ashley Au: Player One Select Pop-up Performance

Player One Select is an exploration of human capacity and it's relation to the breakneck pace that contemporary life seems to move at. Two drummers face off in a frenetic electronic soundscape, challenging each other to push their limits. Who will emerge victorious? Featuring drummers: Brendan Kinley & Kevin Waters.

Bio or Artist & Other Participants

Ashley Au is a Winnipeg-based bassist, composer, arranger, and educator. A multifaceted musician, Ashley specializes in the upright and electric basses as well as guitar, and is a much sought after sessional musician and music educator. As a composer and sound designer, Ashley explores otherworldly textures, blending influences from electronic music and the sounds of the natural world.

Mini Golf Cafe

Fête Jockey's Mini Golf Café is located in the Fire Side Lounge at The Forks (just down from the Crokicurl rink). Three free holes designed and built by local artist Shaun de Rooy! Plus, you can lounge on the cubist furniture and watch other golfers pursue their hole in one, while enjoying complimentary apple cider. Fun for the whole family!

Children's Museum: I Love to Read Month

Join us for I Love To Read Month! We'll be celebrating our love of reading with a variety of crafts, activities, and special guests every weekend from 11:00AM - 3:00PM. While you're here, be sure to record what you've read as you help our friendly I Love To Read caterpillar grow around our Welcome Centre, and enter a draw for your chance to win an I Love To Read gift basket!
