Children's Museum: I Love to Read Month

Join us for I Love To Read Month! We'll be celebrating our love of reading with a variety of crafts, activities, and special guests every weekend from 11:00AM - 3:00PM. While you're here, be sure to record what you've read as you help our friendly I Love To Read caterpillar grow around our Welcome Centre, and enter a draw for your chance to win an I Love To Read gift basket!

With special guests from Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre Reading with Raptors at 11:00AM - 1:00PM and Bookmates with a Bookmaking Workshop from 11:00AM - 3:00PM on February 1.

Arctic Glacier Winter Park Sunday Programming

Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides | 1:30 - 4:30 PM

Hop on and enjoy a ride around The Forks site!

Indigenous Programming |1:30 - 3:30 PM

Join Indigenous Elders inside the teepees for a traditional experience of making bannock.

Soul on Ice | 1:00 - 4:00 PM

The Canopy Skating Rink is transformed into a dance floor on ice. DJs Hunnicut and Co-op spin your favourite tunes while you spin around the ice.

Snowshoe Rentals | Jan. 12, 19, & 26 only | 1:00 - 4:00 PM

Come trek around The Forks on a pair of Heritage Snowshoes! This season, you can step into a pair of heritage snowshoes and experience winter the way people have for centuries. Location Orientation Circle, next to the children’s playground. Rentals available at The Parks Canada Kiosk in The Forks Market.

Big Bike Chill: Bike Winnipeg Warming Hut/Art Tour

Jump on a fat tire bike (or bring your own) and enjoy a tour of the Fork's Warming Huts with Sputnik Architecture and Bike Winnipeg. Sputnik is the instiagtor behind The Forks' annual Art and Architecture competition on Ice. Participants will get to know the unique history of the pieces by cycling through fun annecdotes. A great event for all riding skill levels.Register Here!

Fat Bikes will be provided free of charge for the first 4 registrants who request them.

Big Bike Chill: Ice Bike Competition and Trials

Try out the one-of-a-kind Ice Bikes and sign up on site for the first ever Ice Bike Competition! The Ice Bikes were donated by UMCycle and designed by Chris Pancoe, one half of the winning design team behind the warming hut Huttie. The competiton will take place on the Manitoba 150 Trail near CN Stage rink. Competition starts at 2pm and Ice Bikes will be available to try until 4pm.
