The Thrift Shop aims to empower families and individuals by providing access to good quality clothing and household items at affordable prices. Our store is run by volunteers, our resource centre offers free programming for the West End community including parenting programs, men's and women's sharing groups, counselling, baby supplies and emergency food. APTN Indigenous Day Live 2022
Welcome the summer solstice and National Indigenous Peoples Day with APTN Indigenous Day Live 2022 (IDL). This year’s event marks the return to an in-person celebration at The Forks in Winnipeg, Man., on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
New this year, IDL 2022 is being reimagined from a traditionally-hosted concert to a cultural and artistic presentation shining a light on this year’s theme, “Celebrating Our Lands.” Through cultural and musical performances, IDL brings Canadians together in celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ unparalleled artistic achievements.
Event Details:
Pre-show celebrations at The Forks in Winnipeg, Man., will begin at 6 PM CT. Catch artisans, food vendors, a Metis fiddle competition and more! IDL 2022 will kick off on the main stage at 9 PM CT.
Broadcast Details:
The event will be broadcast live across all APTN channels, AMI-tv and participating community radio stations across the country on June 18, 2022, from 10 PM - 12 AM ET.
