As the largest sporting event ever hosted in the Province of Manitoba, the 2023 World Police and Fire Games is an exciting and rewarding community-wide sports event that takes place from July 28 – August 6, 2023.

The Forks is the venue for wrist-wrestling and the Athletes Village.

Full Moon Ceremony

You're invited to the Oodena Celebration Circle on August 1 for a Full Moon Ceremony.

The Full Moon Ceremony is a collaboration between ka Ni Kanichihk Inc., Sunshine House, Manitoba Moon Voices, Inc., Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Inc., Huddle Ka Ni Kanichihk, QPOC Winnipeg, and Women's Health Clinic.

This is a public event. All genders and cultures are invited for teachings about feminine energy and the moon. Those who identify with feminine energy are welcome to participate in the ceremony. Those who identify with masculine energy are invited to observe.

Please bring your own chair.

Though table tennis is one of the most fun raquete sports to play, it is also one of the hardest. That's why for Play at The Forks, we've partnered with the Manitoba Table Tennis Association (MTTA) to help us learn to play table tennis.

Free table tennis lessons will be offered at the tennis table stations, near the CN field, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, every Tuesday until the end of August.

Street Dancers GeNie Baffoe and Bobby Majo will be hosting free dance lessons for guests to learn hip-hop moves, participate in dance battles, and enjoy the mixes of live DJ's. 

From 6:00pm - 8:00pm on top of the parkade for July 26 and August 2. For the weeks to follow, these practices will happen under the WINNIPEG sign.

Join us at The Oodena Celebration Circle, from 11:00am - 2:00pm for Soapbox Science Winnipeg, 2023!

Soapbox Science is a public outreach event to promote women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

Leading women and non-binary scientists from the city of Winnipeg will converge on soapboxes, creating a vibrant hub of scientific learning and discussion. By providing a platform for these brilliant minds to share their scientific endeavors with the general public, the event aims to dismantle barriers and inspire a more inclusive future for science.

The festival aims to highlight local food and non-food vendors, live performances by local artists, local art, local businesses, cultural and/non-profit organizations and various programming and activities.

The goal of StrEAT Feast Festival is to educate and raise awareness of local businesses and organizations, to further amplify the importance of supporting local, by engaging and bringing people and community together!
