RAW:almond
RAW:almond is a three week fine dining festival created and hosted by Deer + Almond Chef, Mandel Hitzer and the founding director of RAW:Gallery of Architecture and Design, Joe Kalturnyk. Each year it takes place at outside at The Forks, in the middle of winter, in a one-of-a-kind temporary structure.
World class chefs gather to create a pop-up restaurant experience like no other.

Beat the Cold Winter Triathalon
Join 1JustCity and TriFactor Triathlon Club for the annual Beat the Cold Triathlon this February.
Participants will run, bike, and skate along the Nestaweya River Trail in support of 1JustCity and their emergency overnight shelter. This event has been bringing the community together since 2019, with all proceeds helping to make a difference for those in need.

The Great Skate 2025
The Great Skate is a 6KM race along the Nestaweya River Trail, hosted by Trails of 'Toba, inviting participants of all ages and skill levels to embrace the winter season with fun and friendly competition.
The event supports The Dream Factory, a local charity dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of children battling life-threatening illnesses.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category.

Faith Fundal, host of CBC's Up to Speed and They & Us, will lead an engaging conversation about Danny's memoir, Crooked Teeth (2024), where he shares his personal journey as a queer Syrian refugee.

Perhaps you skate up along the Nestaweya River Trail, or your plan on skating under The Canopy in a bit, you're snuggled up with a blanket by a bon fire under the twinkling patio lights and enjoying some delicious oysters and other seafood while drinking a glass of something special from The Common. This is what Oyster Nights Under Patio Lights is all about, and you're invited to join in on the fun!

Mobile Ski Library - Winnipeg Trails Association
Winnipeg Trails will be at The Forks on Friday, February 7, to help launch the first Manitoba Winter Trails Day (Saturday, February 8), a new annual celebration of Manitoba's winter trails!
As part of the festivities, Winnipeg Trails will have their Mobile Ski Library open at The Forks Port Rink, where they'll be offering free cross-country ski rentals, along with tips from their mobility expert!
