Canada Day at The Forks Presented by Great-West Life
Join us in celebrating the true north strong and free with a full day of family-friendly activities, performances and celebration, ending with a spectacular fireworks show at 11pm!
With so many people flocking to The Forks for the festivities, plan your transportation in advance! Bike Valet will be on-site offering free, secure bike and helmet storage all day, plan to take the bus or park off-site and walk over OR join one of our guided bike rides!

Learn to Bike to The Forks - Canada Day Rides!
Beat the Canada Day traffic… on a bike!
Want to have even more fun on Canada Day at The Forks? Get some fresh air, exercise and spend some quality time with your family! Ride your bikes to The Forks this Canada Day and pull up to VIP bike valet parking! It’s free!
We’ll have two guided rides leaving from Assiniboine Park and St Vital Park. These are one-way rides.
All rides are bike path-oriented to ensure a leisurely, enjoyable, safe and beautiful ride. Each trip begins with an explanation of cycling hand signals, how to shoulder check (and why it’s important!) and outlines the basic rules of the road. Everybody rides together safely at a relaxed pace, enjoying the sights while winding our way through the scenic neighbourhoods of Winnipeg that lead us to The Forks.
Rides cost $10/adult. Kids are free!
Fees cover:
- a super fun active urban adventure
- a mini lesson on bike safety, hand signalling and understanding the
- rules of the road
- a guided bike experience learning your safe bike route from the suburban parks to The Forks
- a membership to Bike Winnipeg (includes a 15% discount to most Bike Shops in Winnipeg!)
- City of Winnipeg cycling map
