Free 3-part authors series: Learn about the Treaties from Knowledge Experts.
The Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba is proud to host a three-part author series featuring some of the most knowledgablle voices on the subject. Join them for a unique opportunity to learn from some of the most respected authors and Elders on the topic of Treaties.
Featured Authors:
- April 15: Aimee Craft: "Breathing Life into the Stone Fort Treaty: An Anishinaabe Understanding of Treaty One" and "Treaty Words – For as long as the River Flows"
- April 22: Elders Harry Bone and Dennis White Bird: Treaty Elders Teachings Series, containing four volumes of oral history from Anishinaabek, Anish-Ininiwak, Dakota, Dene, Ininiwak, and Nehethowuk Elders. The volumes include: Volume One: UNTUWE PI KIN HE “Who We are”; Volume Two: KA’ESI WAHKOTUMAHK ASKI “Our Relations With The Land”; Volume Three: DTANTU BALAI BETI NAHIDEI “Our Relations To The Newcomers”; Volume Four: GAKINA GIDAGWI’IGOOMIN ANISHINAABEWIYANG “We Are All Treaty People”

This FREE informative and thought-provoking event will take place on three Saturdays in April (April 15, 22, 29) from 1-3 pm at the Agowiidiwinan Treaty Education and Knowledge Centre located at the Forks, Winnipeg.

Clothing Swap & Mending Circle
Fashion Revolution Winnipeg is hosting the ultimate sustainable fashion event, inclusive with a clothing swap, mending circle and patch buffet. Join them at The Forks Market, Room 201 (second floor by dconstruct) and bring your pre-loved clothing to swap, or items that need a little TLC to be mended or patched!
Drop off your clothing donations prior to the event (preferred) to Reclothify or South Studio Yoga before April 27.
Clothing Drop-off Locations:

Hours: Monday - Wednesday 12-8PM, Thursday - Saturday 11AM-8PM, Sunday 12-6PM
South Studio Yoga - 1895 A Grant Ave
Hours: Monday - Friday 11AM-2PM, Mon Tues Wed 4-7PM
Mending Circle:
Mending Circle will be led by Reclaim Mending & Winnipeg Sews. Bring clothes to mend, or swap clothes to mend! Materials & tools will be provided. Some sewing skills required to participate.
Patch Buffet:
Patch Buffet will be led by Flower Pots by Lou. Bring clothes to patch, or swap clothes to patch! Patches & patching (sewing) start at $15. Sliding scale & pay what you can offered!
