RAW:almond
RAW:almond is a three week fine dining festival created and hosted by Deer + Almond Chef, Mandel Hitzer and the founding director of RAW:Gallery of Architecture and Design, Joe Kalturnyk. Each year it takes place at outside at The Forks, in the middle of winter, in a one-of-a-kind temporary structure.
World class chefs gather to create a pop-up restaurant experience like no other.

ROSEMARY SKOOL | Chukwudubem Ukaigwe's River Poetics
Join ROSEMARY SKOOL for their first event on the Nestaweya River Trail - a screening of River Poetics, where artist Chukwudubem Ukaigwe reads from the poems of NourbeSe Philip, Dionne Brand, Canisia Lubrin, Christopher Okigbo, Chimwemwe Undi, Chim Nwabueze, Sharanpai Puprai, Edouard Glissant, George Elliott Clark, Sonia Sanchez, Sylvia D. Hamilton, and Uchechukwu Umezurike.
When read to and at the site of the Red and Assiniboine rivers, these poems, and Chukwudubem's reading of them, affirm the significance of waterways for understanding diasporic relationality.
