Fall Programming | Thursday Pre-“Game”

Looking for a fun night out this fall? Head to the Second-Floor Lounge for a rotating series of game nights! From classic board games and puzzles to themed evenings like Uno, Catan, and Dutch Blitz, there’s something for everyone. Each evening features a game master on hand, free-to-play board games, and the chance to learn new rules or show off your favourites.

Join us on the Second Floor Atrium for Community and Crafting! This session is a great chance to connect with fellow makers. Just bring your project (needlepoint, clay, weaving, felting, whatever you heart desires!), grab a beer flight ($10 at The Common), and enjoy a relaxed night of creating together.

Join Sport Manitoba’s fitness instructor, Mallory James, and get fit this fall! Get ready to move to the beat in this music-driven group fitness class! “Fit to the Beat” puts a fun twist on exercises you know and love by working to the tempo of the music. Tune in on a choreographed full-body workout while listening to your favorite songs! All fitness levels welcome.

Full Moon Ceremony

The Full Moon Ceremony is a collaboration between Sunshine House, Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Inc MMIWG Liaison Unit (MKO), The Link, Manitoba Moon Voices (MMVI), Women’s Health Clinic (WHC), Inaadiziwin, Native Clan Organization, Inc. (NCO), Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities and Medicine Bear, Ka Ni Kanichihk. This Ceremony is open to the community at large; all genders and cultures are invited to join together for teachings about feminine energy’s relationship with Grandmother Moon. Anyone who identifies with feminine energy is invited to participate in the Ceremony. Those who identify with masculine energy are invited to attend, but will observe. If you can, we ask relatives to bring your own chair, rattles and/or drums, as well as a water container to fill and take home after the Ceremony (if you wish).

Grand Opening Sale: The Raw Carrot HCM

The Raw Carrot HCM Grand Opening Sale: The Raw Carrot HCM is hosting a Grand Opening sale to introduce its small-batch, handcrafted gourmet foods to Winnipeg. Operated by Hope Centre Ministries, The Raw Carrot offers dignified, paid employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and those facing barriers to traditional work.

Initially founded in Ontario in 2014, Winnipeg’s franchise is the first outside Ontario, bringing the brand’s proven model of Employment with Purpose to the community. Products include signature soups and specialty pancake and waffle mixes, with 100% of proceeds supporting employee wages.
