Many Nations, One Heartbeat ᐊᐧᐦᑯᐦᑐᐃᐧᐣ Wáhkóhtowin: Canada Day

Celebrate Canada Day at The Forks! As part of Many Nations, One Heartbeat, Canada Day will be a vibrant, daytime-focused celebration and evening musical experience. The day is guided by a strong throughline of reconciliation and co-existence, recognizing that Canada is a nation of many Nations, cultures, and communities living together on this land.

The day starts with both an All Nations Opening Ceremony and a Citizenship Ceremony and ends with incredible local musicians, including headliner Irvin Miller. Throughout the day, Indigenous, newcomer, and multicultural artists bring music, drumming, comedy, dancing, handmade goods, storytelling, and more.

Additionally, you’ll enjoy large games, children and youth activities, culture-sharing talks, a skate park with spray-paint demonstrations, non-alcoholic beer gardens, plus markets and food trucks — creating accessible, family-friendly spaces for connection, learning, and celebration.
