Full Moon Ceremony

The Full Moon Ceremony is a collaboration between Sunshine House, Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Inc MMIWG Liaison Unit (MKO), The Link, Manitoba Moon Voices (MMVI), Women’s Health Clinic (WHC), Inaadiziwin, Native Clan Organization, Inc. (NCO), Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities and Medicine Bear, Ka Ni Kanichihk. This Ceremony is open to the community at large; all genders and cultures are invited to join together for teachings about feminine energy’s relationship with Grandmother Moon. Anyone who identifies with feminine energy is invited to participate in the Ceremony. Those who identify with masculine energy are invited to attend, but will observe. If you can, we ask relatives to bring your own chair, rattles and/or drums, as well as a water container to fill and take home after the Ceremony (if you wish).

Art Holm, a Winnipeg-based performance series celebrating diverse talents in music, dance, and theatre, returns this November with its ninth series at The Forks!

Presented with U N’ I Together Productions (UNIT), the lineup features artists from Winnipeg and Toronto, including Natasha “Courage” Bacchus, a Deaf Olympic gold medalist and multidisciplinary artist; Louie Sanchez of the acclaimed kulintang ensemble Pantayo; and award-winning queer artist Aria Evans.
