You might’ve noticed some changes to how Winnipeg moves, and that includes how you get to The Forks.

Winnipeg’s updated transit system is officially live and getting here has never been easier. Whether you’re commuting in from the suburbs, meeting friends after work, or exploring the city on the weekend, this new network opens up flexible options for how you arrive.

Here’s what’s new and how it connects you to Winnipeg’s favourite meeting place.

More Routes, Better Access

The updated network features more frequent service on major routes and expanded coverage across the city - making it easier to get where you’re going, when you need to.

Several high-frequency routes now connect directly to The Forks or nearby stops like Union Station, Main Street, and Broadway. From there, we’re just a short walk or quick bike ride away.

Planning Your Trip

Whether you’re coming from home, school, or even straight from the airport, using the new transit system allows you to get to the Forks from all over the city.

Here are a few featured routes and areas that can bring you to The Forks:

  • Bus 31 – North Main
  • D12 – YWG Airport (via Ellice)
  • D13 – YWG Airport (via Sargent)
  • D14 – West End to Transcona
  • D15 – St. James to Sage Creek
  • D16 - Red River College to Polo Park Hub
  • Blue Line – Unicity Hub to St. Norbert
  • Orange Line (FX2) – Garden City to St. Vital Hub
  • Pink Line (FX3) – Sturgeon to Transcona (via River Heights)
