A Stage for Every Season: New Entertainment Kiosk Arrives at The Forks

Posted on Jun 03, 2026 by The Forks Market

From summer days to winter nights, there is a new all-season Entertainment Kiosk at The Forks!

Supported by Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Corporation, this multi-use piece of infrastructure located near the lower patio will house Winnipeg Waterways during the summer, allowing visitors to sign up for river boat tours and to get information on how to use the waterbus.

Come snowfall, the structure will be transformed into a weather-resistant stage for performers, which will provide much needed shelter from the wind and the cold for Learn to Winter’s DJs on Ice and for other signature event performances.

The beautiful art on the outside of the Entertainment Kiosk was curated by Synonym Art Consultation and designed by Leticia Spence. Leticia is a two-spirit graphic designer and illustrator from Pimicikamak Cree Nation. Reflecting on The Forks’ history as a meeting place for over 6000 years, the inspiration of tobacco ties came to light. The red tobacco ties symbolize respect and healing, always carrying intention. Tobacco ties are offered in gratitude, prayer, or when asking for guidance.

Thank you again to Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries for supporting the Entertainment Kiosk. Be sure to check it out next time you’re at The Forks!
