We have so many ways to play AND enjoy all the food and festivities of the holiday season.

Here’s a few ways to make your holiday hangout a fun and active one.

  1. Skate Date, 7am–11pm, 7 days a week, canopy rink and upper land trails
What’s better than rosy cheeks, fresh air and twinkly lights? It’s pretty much the quintessential December holiday hangout. Skating at The Forks is open 7am–11pm, seven days a week. Skate rentals are available from Iceland Skate Rentals from 10am–10pm. Post-skate, get cozy and warm up with hot chocolate from Fools + Horses and mini donuts from The Market. Or for longer catch ups, settle in for a cozy dinner at Passero.

Have a pal with a lot of energy to burn? This class is sure to break a sweat and release any holiday stress! Known for its booming tunes and low lights, it’s an indoor bike ride like no other. Post-ride, quench your thirst and catch up over a cool refreshing local lager from The Common and a Shang-Awesome Nuburger burger (winner of the 2018 Burger Week!) with a side of yam fries. 1. Community Karma Yoga at The Forks, December 1, 8 and 15 (Saturdays), from 10–11am, The Forks Market

Invite a friend to take some time away from the hectic holiday hubbub. It’s a great way to kick off a Saturday morning in December and reconnect to your body and breath. Post-class, capitalize on your new state of Zen to daydream about 2019 over a cozy brunch at Smith . Participation by donation to The Christmas Cheer Board.

  1. Arctic Glacier Winter Park Winter Adventure Activities, Sundays from December through February, 1–5pm

“Do you want to go outside and play?” Bring back the old-fashioned play date! At Arctic Glacier Winter Park, we’re all about exploring the fun of snow and ice: horse-drawn wagon rides, DJ skating dance party and snow sculpting classes—activities all day long! Take intermittent warm ups at Fools and Horses with lattes (option to add Bailey’s!) and some delicious homemade soups from Tall Grass Prairie. Or, if you prefer, some steamy ramen noodles from Fusian or KYU.

The holidays are a wonderful time to reach out and connect with friends and family. We love being your meeting place for fun and active connections.

Cheers and Happy Holidays!
