Santé! Journee Péché at The Common

Grab a seat, brew bestiesbecause Péché Day is back at The Common!

What is Péché Day?

Every year, Péché Day brings beer lovers together for one indulgent reason: to celebrate the iconic Péché Mortel from Dieu du Ciel! (DDC!).

Known for its bold, roasty malt profile and bitter coffee kick, Péché Mortel has earned a cult following among stout fans. What started as a ten-year anniversary toast in 2011 has grown into a global celebration, with breweries and pubs around the globe tapping limited-edition versions brewed just for this day.

Here is what our Craft Beer Curator and Cicerone, Hailey Tennant, loves about Péché Day:

"What I love most about Peche Day is it’s a love letter to all the most hardcore beer fans. It’s an event to preserve and maintain the culture.”

Can I Be a Part of It?

Totally! The Common is just one of forty-three bars participating worldwide, and we are inviting you to join in on the fun! It’s the perfect chance for imperial stout fans and craft beer lovers to taste, compare, and chat about the subtle differences between each variation of Péché Mortel

Please note that these pours are special (and strong). With 9.5% alc/vol and roughly the caffeine of a single espresso shot per 10 oz, they can sneak up on you. We encourage you to pace yourself, drink responsibly, and enjoy the flavours one at a time.

These small pours pair beautifully with breakfast fare! Head over to SKYRDanny’s All Day Breakfast, or Tall Grass Bakery to find your perfect match.

Come sip, savour, and celebrate! Péché Day only comes once, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Santé!
