The leaves are changing and so is The Common’s wine list!
Resident wine consultant Ben Sigurdson has curated a lineup of wines that’s made to complement this in-between time of year. The list strikes a balance between fresh options like crisp Vinho Verde, fruity Pinot Grigio, racy Sauvignon Blanc, and lively Prosecco, alongside heartier selections like oak-aged Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tempranillo.

Here’s what Ben has to say about his new favourites from the list:
“I really like the Il Mostro 'Longana' Frizzante Rosé, a sparkling pink wine from Italy’s Abruzzo region. It’s one for the natural wine fans out there. I’m also a big fan of the Spier Signature Collection Albariño, a South African white that’s loaded with ripe fruit flavours, the Malivoire Gamay, a juicy, fruit-forward red from Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula, and the Heartland Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia’s Langhorne Creek, which provides deep, dark berry notes with some modest oak aging.”
