We are absolutely thrilled to announce the latest addition on The Common line-up: Hailey Tennant as our new Craft Beer Curator (CBC).
As the new CBC of The Common, Hailey will be the mastermind behind our beer list, ensuring the selection remains diverse, exciting, and always on pint! From working closely with breweries, near and far, to curating an exceptional beer list that caters to all tastes, to providing invaluable beer training to our team, and even spearheading engaging public events at The Forks – Hailey's role is nothing short of crucial to The Common's continued success.
You may be familiar with Hailey and her effervescent charm, as she's been an integral part of The Common family since 2019. Throughout her time here, her love and knowledge of beer has been brewing, and she's developed an appreciation for the unique tastes of our community when it comes to their favourite brews.
Hailey's journey in the beer industry began back in 2016 when she started as a lab tech at well known and loved local brewery, Half Pints. Not long after delving into the craft beer world, Hailey started working at The Common, where she found her true calling in hospitality, interacting directly with customers and immersing herself in the world of beer service and draught systems. More recently, Hailey has been building up her beer game by enrolling in the Cicerone Certificaiton Program. In the last months, she's received her Certified Beer Certification and is now working toward becoming a Certified Cicerone.
When Hailey isn't busy engaging with visitors here at The Common, you'll likely find her meticulously cleaning draught lines or delving into the latest beer trends. Beyond work, she's an avid podcast listener, a talented artist, and an aficionado of romcoms. And of course, she's always up for heading out to our local taprooms to draw inspiration from fellow beer enthusiasts.
