You can help make The Forks even better this summer.

Getting The Forks cleaned up after a long winter is no easy task. The patio needs to be swept and washed. Pathways need to be groomed. Loads of silt and mud need to be removed from the riverwalk. Patio furniture needs repairing (or replacing). Trees need to be pruned and replaced. Garden beds of flowers, grasses and vegetables need to be cultivated. The list goes on and on.

Would you consider helping get The Forks ready for you and others?

You may be thinking, “But I already buy beer and snacks?”

You do, and we’re grateful. After all, no one has to buy anything to hang out at The Forks.  While The Forks raises revenues through things like parking and sales at The Common, it’s not enough to maintain the aging site for you, and certainly not enough to improve it.

If you can, will you please consider adding The Forks Foundation to the list of charities you support?

“We know The Forks is a special place for Winnipeggers. We need to consistently reinvest in our buildings and infrastructure to deliver what the community is asking for – and expecting. Together, we can keep delivering more wonderful memories for everyone who visits The Forks,” said Sara Stasiuk, CEO of The Forks and The Forks Foundation.

The Forks Foundation is the affiliated charity of The Forks. It was established so that the community could donate to support the place they love and get a charitable tax receipt. Thousands have done exactly that and the community is grateful for all you’ve created. Over the years, community donations have built the skatepark at The Forks and commissioned public art that is seen around the site. Last winter, community members ‘adopted’ 1,000 metres of the Nestaweya River Trail that more than 250,000 people enjoyed. Thank you!
