A lush walkway surrounded by greenery.

Public Orchard

Tucked behind The Children's Museum, this peaceful spot is home to more than 60 fruit trees and 70 fruit-bearing shrubs. In spring, the blossoms create a beautiful backdrop, while summer and fall bring lush greenery and colourful fruit. There’s also a cute bench tucked in the orchard, perfect for taking a break and also using as a prop!

Best for: Family photos.

The Tower Atrium

For some of the best views in the city, head to the top of The Forks Market.

Take the elevator (or the stairs if you're feeling ambitious) to the sixth-floor Tower Atrium, where you'll find panoramic views of downtown Winnipeg and the meeting of the rivers. It's also a great place to learn a little about the site's history while you're there.

Looking for another skyline shot? The top level of the parkade offers a surprisingly great perspective, too.

Best for: Winnipeg landscapes.

The Centre Hall (Market)

The heart of The Forks Market is more than just a great place to grab a bite; it's also an award-winning public space.

Designed by Number TEN Architectural Group, the market renovation received the Grand Prize at the 2017 Commerce Design Winnipeg Awards. The soaring ceilings, custom oak tables, oversized metal drum lights, and warm mix of steel and wood create a backdrop that's instantly recognizable and unmistakably The Forks.

Best for: Capturing group hangs and food and beverage shots.

Esplanade Riel

Towering above the Red River, the Esplanade Riel is one of Winnipeg's most recognizable landmarks. Its soaring cables and distinctive design create endless opportunities to play with perspective, whether you're photographing the bridge itself or using it as a dramatic backdrop for portraits. Plus, every evening the bridge is lit with a 10-minute light show every hour, on the hour, from sunset until midnight.

Best for: Creative shots capturing angles and light.

The Winnipeg Sign

It's iconic for a reason.

Whether you're visiting during the day or stopping by after dark to catch the colourful illuminated display, the Winnipeg sign is a must for visitors and locals alike. Plus, depending on the angle, you can capture the interesting architecture from the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and the downtown skyline.

Best for: The classic tourist shot.

A large rustic arch.

Alloway Arch

This architectural piece is a perfect place for photos. The scale of it, the greenery around it, and the history behind it make it a backdrop that's hard to pass up. You’ll find this archway just East of Union Station on the path that leads to the fountain and Pride crosswalk on your way through The Forks as the pathway connects to Provencher Boulevard.

Best for: Natural framing and symmetrical headshots.

The Pathway

Some of the best photos aren't taken at a landmark; they're found along the way.

The pathway connecting CN Stage and Field, The Children's Museum, Oodena Circle and the patio is lined with towering trees that create a beautiful natural canopy in every season.

Visit in winter, and you'll find the branches glowing with thousands of lights, creating one of the most magical photo spots on site.

Best for: Candid shots.
