The garlands have been hung, the wine is mulling and Winnipeg makers are getting all their festive wares ready, which can only mean one thing – it’s time for The Forks Market’s annual Holiday Bazaar!

On Friday Nov. 30 from 5-10 p.m., the market will be bursting with holiday cheer in the form of in-store specials to help you get started on that gift list, festive tunes filling the air courtesy of DJ Mama Cutsworth, and delicious mimosas and mulled wine over at The Common to celebrate a successful shopping trip.

Not to mention Third + Bird, Winnipeg’s largest urban market, will be popping up as well, bringing along tons of local vendors and makers who will definitely be able to offer options for that impossible-to-buy-for person on your list.

If you’re after a more interactive experience, amazing artist and muralist Kal Barteski will be on hand showcasing some of her stunning work and offering the opportunity to have a custom script print made just for you.

And even more hands-on, Teecka’s Aboriginal Boutique is offering a dream catcher workshop from 6– 8 p.m at a cost of $20. You do need to register in advance for this event, but all it takes is a phone call to 204-946-0539 or an email to Teekcasboutique@mymts.net and you’ll be all set.

If you have your little ones in tow, make sure to check out the Holiday Bazaar Kids Party at Royal Dance at The Forks, located right inside The Forks Market. For just $15 (and $10 for subsequent siblings), your kiddos will dance, make crafts, play games and get some yummy – and nut-free – snacks. Any children ages 4 and over are welcome; no dance experience is required, but indoor footwear is!

So grab your list, check it twice, and head to our Holiday Bazaar, where everything is nice!
