
KICK OFF 2025 WITH A NEW YEAR’S DAY CELEBRATION AT THE FORKS
Usher in 2025 at The Forks with New Year’s Day festivities including musical acts, games, crafts, drag performances, yoga and movement classes, and outdoor activities. The day will have something for everyone to enjoy.
“Dive into winter and the new year by making it your resolution to have more fun, activity, and community connection in 2025,” says Sara Stasiuk, Chief Executive Officer of The Forks North Portage. “We’ve got a great lineup of events and performances for all to enjoy as you reset for the year ahead.”
The days events will run from 11 AM to 4 PM and will take place throughout The Forks site.
INSIDE THE FORKS MARKET:
- Drag Performances
Grab a bite to eat from The Forks Market and enjoy several drag and DJ performances curated by Synonym Art Consultation. - Games and Crafts
Kids of all ages can play board games and do crafts in the second-floor lounge. - Health and Wellness Classes
Adrienne Shum and fellow instructors will be offering yoga, connect, and mobility classes in the event space on the second floor of The Forks Market. Classes are free, with limited reserved spots available. REGISTER HERE for all of the classes.
OUTDOORS:

Enjoy a lineup of local musicians and DJs performing by the Canopy Rink. - Learn to Winter
Take on some learn to snowshoe lessons with Kendrick's Outdoor Adventures! - Storytelling in the Teepee
Join Elder Barbara Nepinak around the fire inside the teepee for drumming and stories.
AGOWIIDIWINAN CENTRE:
- Family Activities
The Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba invites families into the Agowiidiwinan Centre, with speakers and workshops throughout the day.
All of the day’s events are open and free to attend. A schedule will be posted on our New Year's Day event page soon!
The Forks Market will be open standard hours (7 am – 10 pm) on Dec. 31.
